2010 Press Release

Churning Dirt for Charity!  Friday July 23rd and Saturday July 24th, The Badger State Tractor Pulling Association will invade the Richland County Fairgrounds for the 3rd annual Jones Chevrolet Churning Dirt Nationals, brought to you by the Knights of Columbus #3492, Richland Center, WI. 

Friday night’s show begins at 6:30 with gates to open at 4pm.  The evening’s lineup offers 9 pulling classes on 2 pulling tracks and will include the 4x4 Pro Stock Diesel Trucks, the 3000 horsepower Pro Stock Diesel tractors and Tri Country Mini Modifieds.  And if that weren’t enough, during the course of the night, we will have the Richland County Bank Kids Dash for Cash. Back by popular demand, the back flipping flat out freestyle dirt bike show and the Felon Monster Truck. 

On Saturday, the gates open at 9am with pulling to begin at 11:00.  18 pulling classes on 3 pulling tracks. Groups scheduled to pull are the American Mini Pullers/Garden Style Tractors, Antiques, local Gas and Diesel trucks, Pullers inc Natural Super Stocks and Semis, SW Pullers Open Stock 4x4 and 2.6 Super Street Diesel Trucks, South Central Pullers 640 Altered Farm, Badger State 466 Hot Farm,and  Farm Stock classes are all building up to the Meyers Chopper Box Unlimited Farm Class. 

Saturday evening’s show starts at 6:00 with 10 classes scheduled including the 4x4 modified trucks, 2WD Modified Trucks, the big blown mini modifieds and open 4x4 Diesel trucks to mention a few.  Plus, the  back flipping flat out freestyle dirt bike show  and the Felon Monster Truck. will put on one last show for us! 

If you can tear yourself away from the action in front of the grandstands, there will also be the Long and Low, Lots of Light & Chrome Semi Truck Show and Swap Meet going on both days.  And the kids can blow off their extra “black smoke” by jumping in the bounce houses or navigating their way through the National Guard Inflatable Obstacle Course.  Also, kids can participate in the Pedal Pull which begins at 2:00 on Saturday where?

This will also be your last chance to sign the pink van for $1. Churning Dirt is helping Crush Cancer, all money collected from signatures on the van goes to Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination. And, in case you were wondering about the Churning Dirt Car that you have been seeing all over the area for the last 3 months?  You’ll have to come on out to see the show if you want  to see these vehicles ONE LAST TIME!
